About This Dish:

Servings: 4 pax

Total Time: ~20-30 mins

Difficulty: ⭐⭐ 2 out of 5

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, about 200g each
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Zest of 1 medium lemon (optional)
  • Juice of half a medium lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt OR ¼ teaspoon table salt
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh herbs, such as dill, parsley, thyme or chives, for serving

Step-By-Step Guide:

Step 1: Allow the salmon to come to room temperature for about 15 minutes. This helps it to cook more evenly. Meanwhile, you can line your baking dish with parchment paper (for easy plating & clean up) and pre-heat your oven to 220°C / 425°F. If you wish to use air-fryer, instead of using parchment paper, you may use aluminium foil as some air-fryer might burn the parchment paper. No pre-heating is needed for air-frying!

Step 2: Make the lemon garlic butter. In a small bowl whisk together the melted butter, olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper.

Step 3: Brush the salmon with the lemon garlic mixture, brushing it over the tops and sides of each salmon fillet.

Step 4 (Oven): Bake at 220°C / 425°F for 12-15 minutes (depending on the meat thickness), or until the salmon is cooked to your liking. When it’s done, the salmon should flake easily with a fork.

Step 4 (Air-Fryer): Air-Fry at 185°C for 15-18 minutes (depending on the meat thickness), or until the salmon is cooked to your liking. When it’s done, the salmon should flake easily with a fork.

Step 5: Serve. Sprinkle on some chopped fresh herbs and serve! That’s it! This recipe seriously couldn’t be easier.
